Government Shutdown 2018

Friday, January 19, 2018, the Republican party and the Democrats couldn't reach an agreement over a stopgap deal. Though the Republican party pretty much have full control over the White House and Congress, they still managed to allow something like this to happen. The shutdown comes on the anniversary of Donald Trump's
inauguration.

Here's what happens during a Shutdown

  - Most nonessential government employees will not report to work on Monday and be placed on Furlough.
  -  National Monuments, Museums and Parks will be opened with limitations or closed.
  - There will be delays in Visa issues and applications.
  - Postal service will run but there will be delays.
  - Medicaid and Medicare will not be effected.
